Karly

I have used a thousand words to describe the experience I had at Maine Coast Semester, but they do not do it justice. They do not even begin to reflect the beauty of the place, the people, or the journey I experienced at Chewonki. Writing on this has left me with a heart full of emotions. I went from smiling, to laughing, to crying, and back around in the process of reflecting on my experience. I wouldn’t be the person I am right now without the relationships I formed at my semester at Chewonki. I know time will go on, and the memories will begin to fade around the edges, but I will never forget any of my 31 sisters and 10 brothers, and countless mothers, fathers, aunts, and uncles. We loved each other and we hated each other, we played, we fought, we laughed, we cried, we adventured, we danced, we sang, we swam, we learned, we accomplished, we worked so, so hard, we slept, we talked, and we did so much, together.  It was like we were all puzzle pieces that were truly meant to be together.”
