Drew is the Human Ecology Capstone (HEC) teaching fellow, and is returning to Chewonki after being a student in Semester 46 and summer farmhand in 2012. With interests ranging from field drawing to polar ecology, she is excited to bring her varied passions and love of interdisciplinary learning to semester students and the wider Chewonki community.
Drew graduated from Carleton College in 2016 with a degree in Environmental Studies. While in Minnesota, she served as editor-in-chief of the student newspaper and rock climbing manager of the outing club. She has spent two summers in British Columbia and Alaska conducting alpine ecology and glaciology field research. After leaving the Midwest, she worked at various outdoor and environmental magazines before heading to Teton Science Schools in Wyoming, where she recently completed an AmeriCorps service term in field education.
