Esther teaches French at Maine Coast Semester. Esther grew up in Quebec, is a native French speaker, and has always been a lover of languages.
For seven years before coming to Chewonki, Esther lived on a farm in the foothills of Colorado with her husband and young son. She is thrilled to combine her passion for teaching, farming, and the outdoors in her work at Maine Coast Semester. She holds a bachelor’s degree in intercultural studies and teaching English as as second language. Whether teaching English to immigrants while living in Banff National Park or locals in the hills of Venezuela, she is passionate about sharing culture and language in a rich, experiential manner with her students.
